Let me share another remark I
overheard in another bookstore—I spend a lot of time in bookstores. I share it because it also concerns Bible
translations.
Mom was offering her pre-teen
daughter a choice of Bibles, the choice being between the King James Version and
the New King James Version. Mom said to
the daughter, “This one (KJV) isn’t as pretty.
This one (NKJV) is pink and has easier words; but it may not always say
what God wants to say like this one (KJV) does!”
And so the next generation is educated.
